of Nappy Package Hire
By hiring any of our nappy packages, you agree to our Nappy Packages Terms and Conditions.
Please read all terms, conditions, wash and care instructions prior to use.
HIRE PERIODS AND EXTENSIONS
We have an 8 week standard hire period, which can be extended before hire or within first four weeks of hire as required. Hire starts from the designated start date or when nappies arrive at your door, whichever happens later, and ends when you post your nappies back. If your baby is born prematurely or is unwell, please contact us and we will do our best to adjust the start date according to your circumstances.
Nappies will be dispatched 5 days prior to your designated start date if time allows, or within 5 business days of payments being cleared. We will use a courier service wherever possible, please allow up to 5 business days for delivery. Typically delivery is faster in capital cities. We cannot deliver to PO Boxes, so please provide a street address. If you are in a rural area without courier service we will deliver the package via Australia Post. You will be notified of the tracking number for your delivery via email when it has shipped. Please be aware that most courier and postage services do not operate on the weekend or public holidays.
CLEANING OF NAPPIES BETWEEN HIRES
All nappies are washed thoroughly and sanitised prior to any hire. We follow the strip and sanitise methods as well as wash routines from the ‘Clean Cloth Nappies’ website: https://cleanclothnappies.com.
All invoices must be paid by the date specified on the invoice. We reserve the right to pursue debt collection action against any person whose invoices remain unpaid following our email reminder.
CONTENTS OF PACKAGES
A check-list is provided with your pack, please use this to ensure sure all items are received. All items on the check-list excluding the disposable bamboo liners and GroVia BioSoakers remain the property of Cloth Tots and must be returned upon the completion of your rental period.
Pack photos are an example of contents but prints are not guaranteed.
CLOTH TOTS WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ITEMS THAT GO MISSING IN TRANSIT. The package is your responsibility until it is received by us.
CONDITION OF PACKAGES
The nappies will be sent to you in brand new & prewashed, or excellent used condition. This means that the elastics will be firm, waterproofing intact, velcro sticky and the nappies stain free. There may be light pilling of certain fabrics due to normal laundering
Excellent used condition nappies have been sanitised between hires to ensure their cleanliness, see 'CLEANING OF NAPPIES BETWEEN HIRES' above.
Dry pails are washed, sanitised and re-used for hires. It is acceptable if the exterior of the pail receives some wear such as bumps and marks in transit. There's no need to clean the pail before you return it to us.
CARE OF NAPPIES
While in your care, you will be responsible for the care and laundering of your nappies. It is expected that you will use the wash guide provided to you or a suitable laundromat. If you have any queries regarding laundering nappies, please contact us to assist where necessary.
Do not wash nappy shells, covers, wet bags or any item that contains PUL or elastic in temperatures higher than 60 degrees. Ensure any nappies with Velcro are fastened prior to washing and drying.
Do not use the following products on any items: fabric softeners, vinegar, bleach or washing powders that contain bleach, whiteners or softeners.
When hanging nappies to dry, hang horizontally across the line to prevent damage to the elastic.
If it is necessary to use a dryer, make sure it is always on a LOW temperature setting. High temperatures are only suitable for inserts or any nappy that does not contain PUL or elastic.
RETURN OF NAPPY PACKAGE
If for any reason you cannot return the nappies within the outlined time frame, please contact us to discuss. Extensions may be available at an additional cost.
You must wash and properly dry the nappies before returning to us. Do not send damp nappies.
Remove any fluff, hair and lint from the velcro. A fine-tooth comb can help with this.
If there is strong staining, smelly nappies or dye transfer from other fabrics, you will be charged an additional amount at our discretion. This is to cover the extra cost and time taken to properly launder the items or replace if necessary.
A week before your rental period is due to finish we will contact you with a reminder as well as to organise return delivery. You are responsible for the package until it is received by us. It must be out for delivery within 48 hours of your rental finish date. If the package is put out for pickup from the courier, or marked with a postmark more than 48 hours after the finish date, we will invoice for the additional $20 per day.
ACCEPTABLE CONDITION OF RETURNED PACKS
To help with out of pocket expenses, Cloth Tots doesn't request a security bond with hire.
Alternatively, to ensure that we get the nappies and accessories back and in the same condition they were sent out, we will invoice for the replacement of items missing or received in unacceptable condition.
What we consider to be unacceptable condition:
Nappies have lost absorbency or are repelling.
Nappies have been soaked in chemicals.
Nappies have stains that are unable to be removed (please note light staining on 1 or 2 nappies is fine, if you need some help with getting nappies clean please contact us).
Nappies have been in any way permanently altered or damaged beyond repair.
PUL in the nappies is damaged due to excess heat (such as using a HOT temperature setting on the dryer).
If nappies come back with any issues, we will always contact you first to discuss. If at any point you are unsure please contact us and we can help you.
You will be charged the RRP for any single items that are not returned or are damaged beyond repair. In the case of loss or damage you will be responsible for replacement costs. We will invoice you the full retail price of the items with terms of 7 days. If you do not pay within 7 days, we reserve the right to forward your details to a debt collection agency who will charge an additional fee on top of monies owed to us.
Refunds are available under the following circumstances:
If you experience pregnancy loss or your baby is born sleeping, we will refund your rental fee on return of the unused pack.
If you notify us of your change of mind before your pack is sent, we will refund your rental fee less an administration fee.
Once your pack has been sent, we cover a 3-day change of mind from the start of the hire period. You will be refunded the rental fee upon return of the nappy package in acceptable condition less an administration and cleaning* fee.
If a purchased item is faulty, we will refund the full cost of the item, as well as covering the return postage. Please contact us to arrange this.
*All nappies that have been shipped will require deep cleaning and sanitation as per ‘CLEANING OF NAPPIES BETWEEN HIRES’ above.
